A former trade financier in London and New York and former financial journalist Robert Kelsey set up Moorgate Communications after spotting a gap in the market for intelligent public relations in the areas of corporate and commercial banking and market analysis and infrastructure. Clients include Deutsche Bank, Citi, UniCredit, Standard & Poor’s and the International Chamber of Commerce. A key focus for Moorgate is on content generation and thought leadership. It has offices in London and Manchester. Robert Kelsey is also a best-selling author of what he calls “anti-self-help” self-help books. His first book What’s Stopping You? has sold over 100,000 copies and has been translated into 11 languages. He followed this with Get Things Done and The Outside Edge – both also bestsellers. Finally, Robert is deputy chairman and co-founder of the Centre for Entrepreneurs – a leading think tank part owned by the Legatum Institute. The Centre has produced reports on immigrant entrepreneurs, serial-entrepreneurs, seaside towns, female entrepreneurs and angel investors. It is also campaigning for entrepreneurship programmes in prisons and, under the guise of StartUp Britain (it’s campaigning arm) is famous for its annual UK bus tour.
