Airlabs

Airlabs delivers clean air to breathe in the world’s most polluted cities– from inside buildings and vehicles, to transport networks and large outdoor zones. Their team is a unique combination of atmospheric chemists, airflow engineers and sensor experts, who combine to truly understand air pollution, clean it and deliver that clean air for people to breathe.

Airlabs’ cleaning technology is the world’s first to effectively remove all harmful gases (including over 95% of nitrogen dioxide) as well as particles, in a highly flexible and low energy and maintenance way.  This means it can be seamlessly incorporated into city infrastructure large and small.

The company has already developed clean air benches and bus shelters for London as well as effective filters that can easily be retrofitted to a building’s HVAC system.  It has also launched a consumer product, the airbubbl, which cleans the highly polluted air inside vehicles and is sold to both consumers and also businesses to protect their driving staff.

Airlabs is now building the world’s first large outdoor clean air zone in Delhi to showcase its air-cleaning technology and use of airflow engineering to create clean air zones across a city.  In addition, the company has developed the first low cost sensor accurate for gases and particles that can be installed in buildings or across a smartcity to enable full understanding of pollution exposure.

Airlabs is at the forefront of clean air technology and is keen to leverage their breakthrough technologies by creating a network of partners around the world who want to bring clean air to their countries. With early interest from China, India, and Singapore, the organisation is confident that more opportunities will arise to tackle air pollution. As an export champion, Airlabs intends to be at the forefront of creating cleaner air throughout the world’s cities.
